Pilates has deep roots as a corrective movement system that serves multiple purposes all at once.  Pilates engages deep muscles inside the abdominal regions that support the spinal column. At the same time, you learn how to use intelligence, intuition, imagination, memory, & will/desire the 5 parts of the mind to more effectively use the body. Pilates teaches you to use your mental ‘Core’ to build the physical core, this is why Pilates is also called Contrology. You are the weight to strengthen all of the other big and small muscles throughout your entire body.
